Carol (Xiantao) Luo graduated from a Medical university in China and has 20 years of clinical work experience in hospitals outside of Canada, including 10 years in general hospitals and 10 years in MCH. After coming to Canada, she became a registered acupuncturist, registered TCM practitioner, and registered massage therapist. She spent 3 years studying at the Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada and John & Jenny Traditional Chinese Medicine College successively. In theory and practice, she combines Chinese and Western medicine to help clients recover or relax. She has extensive experience in dealing with internal medicine, external medicine, and gynecological diseases, such as stroke hemiplegia, headache, constipation, epigastric pain, insomnia, depression syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, golf elbow, tenosynovitis, ankle and knee edema, arthritis, and other acute or chronic injuries or pain, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, insufficient milk, postpartum rehabilitation, uterine fibroids, infertility, etc. During acupuncture treatment, she may use cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tuina, according to the client's condition. While performing treatments as an RMT, she typically utilizes techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, and TCM tuina. She is very patient and careful to help every client improve their health so they can enjoy their lives every day. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to different places and exploring the unique cultures and history of local areas. She also strives to enhance her professional knowledge and skills every day.
